I’M BAAAACK!
It has been a very productive season of switching priorities that these past few months, I haven’t been able to attend to this blog.
But as I promised myself, the next post *after a long while* will be worth reading. So here it iiiiis!
I decided to come up with this post months ago but only have been able to write it down now since I have a handful of good distractions as of the moment.

Take note that working for me meant the following criteria:
1. I had lesser to none breakouts (even when I’m on my period)
2. Skin has tremendously become glowing (people telling me I have better skin plus, with no makeup on)
3. Smaller or less visible pores
4. Lesser foundation or base used to cover up facial imperfections (such as undereye black circles, blemishes, acne marks, redness and whatnot)
5. Lesser trips to facial clinics to help remove blackheads and/or warts.
I wanted to share that after months of endless trial and error with all the skincare I have been using, I finally found the perfect routine that is working for me!
So… I’m enumerating my most loved items as of today in order of how I apply it (which will also probably be my problem when I finally pursue minimalistic living HAHAHAHA!)
1. Simple Exfoliating Foam Facial Wash
This beauty is the first thing I bought when I went to the U.S. this last October. I’m not sure though if they have it here in the PH because the last time I went to a drugstore, I saw the other kind of facial wash (without the microbeads). Anyway, I wanted to skip the trip to Flawless and start caring for my skin myself so I can save a few bucks by eliminating all unimportant expenses. I tried this out and has not let me down ever since!
2. Lush Tea Tree Water Toner
I cannot find the words to describe this wonder! I first known this product back when we went to Japan earlier this year. It has an antibacterial solution and at the same time, keeps your face fresh and suple. Recommended for oily and spot prone skin. Just like any other toner, I wouldn’t suggest that your face is exposed directly at the sun when using this. Spray 1-2 times or in a cotton pad (not ball) and apply on your face.
3. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution
Ha! This is the big gun from the pack! It basically corrects any dark spots which you have on your face which are mostly caused by pimple marks. It has the mixture of a potent complex of Activated C, two more ingredients that makes it work so well and also has the dropper which you can see in the photo. Apply 1-2 drops in your finger and gently pat on the parts of your face which you want to lighten up or you could do your entire face (I do this and it still works wonders!)
4. Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer
This is also one of the purchases I made in the U.S. (because why not?! everything in the Commissary is freaking TAX FREE! Lol). It has this orangey scent when used on your face. Sometimes, I feel like a fruit 🙂 Hahaha! Best applied during the morning and night after the serum!
5. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
I wouldn’t lie you could actually skip this step. I just use this because I have big, dark undereye circles that I wanted to get rid off (which may be caused by sleeping late so in this case, you can live without this). This item is good but if I had to be honest, Nuxe’s eye creamis more effective.
6. L’occitane Fleurs de Cerisier Body Lotion
Yes, you heard that right! I finally learned to love lotion after so many years. Hahaha! I was finally convinced that my mom is right about everything she ever said, including the benefits of applying lotion. 🤣 I have a growing fondness on L’occitane products because I love how they smell. It’s not overpowering and leaves you smelling fresh.
Here’s a fun fact:
I feel uncomfortable that someone else has the same exact scent as mine that’s why I pick the scents that are most probably hard to find in the market. But I also don’t like overpowering scents. It’s just so not me. Hehehe!
Anyway, this lotion worked well for me because I also don’t like lotions that leave a sticky feeling. I think this product is more of water-based than the standard sticky type which is nice!
So that’s a wrap for my everyday staples before going to work and going to bed! I hope you were a bit informed at least on what to try or not. Remember that everything is not as good and not as bad for another person. It could work for me, but it cannot work for you and vice versa. Research and try it for yourself and experiment! You’ll eventually get the combination that will work well for you. I know, because I did (after a few attempts)!
Till then!
Be blessed everyone!
